Wii Hacked

Installing wiiware backups on your twighlight princess hacked wii couldn’t be easier. It will take a few minutes to install each VC game or Wiiware backup game

Please note if you have a PAL wii install PAL versions of files if you have an NTSC wii use the NTSC – or if you cant find them, at the bottom of these instructions we’ll show you how to make your wiiware backups and VC backups region free

To begin with you must have installed the homebrew channel using the twlightlight princess hack. If you havn’t – click here to run through that and then come back here.


Right wii all sorted with the Twighlight Princess Hack? Good.


Step one

Download wad manager here.

Extract this folder to wherever, then copy it to your SD card at x:\APPS\

When you have your wiiware/vc/channel downloaded – Put the .wad file in a folder on your SD card called x:\WAD (all wads go in here, no matter what you are installing. If you put them anywhere else on your SD card wad manager will not find the files)

Step two

Turn on your wii, launch the homebrew channel. Scroll around your list of programs, Launch “Wad Manager”

press A to accept

press A again to select the SD card as the place with your .wads (this should be the only option)

Scroll down to what you want to install and press “+”

Press A again now it will run some numbers, maybe stand still for a bit. Don’t panic larger games can take up to 5minutes to install. Don’t worry its not frozen

It will then say its installed and either prompt you to restart or take you back to the list of wads, ready to install another one.

To exit just press the home button.

All wads installed will show up as channels, and you don’t need the SD card in to run them, they do take up blocks on your wii. If you want to, there is an option to copy these games back onto the SD card.


This works for all VC and wiiware games.

If you can’t find a game backup for your region you will need freethewads.

go to windows start (or pearl) – run
type in CMD
type in the full path of where the program is extracted to, for ease of use just stick in in somewhere like c:\users\username\freethewads

Now to patch your wad type in Something like

c:\users\username\freethewads\freethewads.exe c:\users\username\nameofwad.wad

press enter, and it will patch that wad right up, copy and paste it into the wad folder on your card and we’re all good to go.
